Alyssia Venna and Hailey Stepp recently took first place in the digital movie category at the CSIU Computer Fair Regional Competition on March 25th. Their four and a half minute video sparked an informational interest on the importance of blood donation and was therefore titled, "Saving Lives through Blood Donation." more

Congressman Carney visits area

Congressman Christopher Carney, of the 10th district in Pennsylvania, recently held a town meeting at the Northumberland County Career Center in Shamokin.  Members of the audience were able to ask Mr. Carney questions on subjects from  veteran affairs to the nation’s energy policy.  WKMC’s Paige Schoffler met with Carney afterwards to ask him about the future of No Child Left Behind.
