MCASD Implementing ALERTNOW

 

This fall, the Mount Carmel Area School District will provide parents and staff with an automatic alert system known as ALERTNOW.  In the event of an emergency, absence, or simple daily occurrence, the administrators within the school district will deliver notifications to all parents and staff members. The system contacts two primary phone numbers and a voluntary email address of a parent or guardian and staff member. All contact information can be udated by returning a form that was was mailed to homes in August. Any parent who did not receive a form can pick one up in the principal's office.

ALERTNOW was chosen by the Mount Carmel Area School District for its strength of technological redundancy in the event of a region-wide emergency.   Now parents and guardians can be more informed of their child’s performance and safety while at school and can be notified first-hand and immediately of any district situations.
